Sunday Funnies – LOLs – October 4, 2026

Even as a Michigan alum, I have to admit Script Ohio by the Ohio State Marching Band is one of the best marching band formations ever.

Go ahead … make my marinara.

We’re mostly coffee drinkers, but I do make the occasional pot of tea, particularly to make iced tea. This is new to me. To confess my sins, I usually just rinse out our (glazed) teapots, but that’s more laziness and a desire not to risk that slight aftertaste of dish soap that didn’t get completely rinsed out. So maybe I’m doing the right thing by accident, (which is better than doing the wrong thing intentionally).

Any advice from tea drinkers out there?

Sunday Funnies – LOLs – March 1, 2026

Not really an LOL quality joke, but an opportunity for a comment. Should the trope of “doctors have bad handwriting” be retired? (Doctors whose bad handwriting was relevant are likely all retired as well.) Nearly all prescriptions are either sent directly to the pharmacy, or printed out from the computerized medical record. That medical record itself isn’t handwritten notes anymore, but notes entered on a computer in medical English — not entirely readable, but for a different reason.

It’s like jokes involving pay phones.

This week I got birthday greetings from my four siblings — two days before my actual birthday. This happens every year. I used to correct them, but it never made any difference. Now I just go with the flow. Perhaps they really know, but it’s a minor practical joke on their part.

Comics I Haven’t Seen: TBD

When I posted one of these as an LOL, I noticed there were no previous tags of this comic, and the archive on Comics Kingdom only goes back to December, 2024. So, all new to me, at least. Here’s the blurb on the Comics Kingdom site:

Definitely a Geezer Alert on this one. ASCII art was a big deal in the age of dot matrix printers and fanfold paper: printing out pinups was a rite of passage, along with “Happy Birthday” banners. These are from the ASCII art studio.
