Andréa spotted this one for us:
Shared by Boise Ed, enjoyed by this Florida native.
And check out this previous CIDU LOLs post for Ed’s intro to Shrimp and Grits
But TBH the premise is faulty — is she really going to go pick up a book instead, in the moment?
But is that true?? Questions can be raised about the background view.
Or was this an Oy?
This is here as a LOL but almost went into the Oopsies. The “related products” message from Amazon doesn’t ever appear full-screen as drawn here. It was enough to throw Pam off, who sent it in as not-fully-understood.
Here is a picture of the real Erwin S, and I think the cartoon has a pretty good likeness. We should also note a thank-you to contemporary physicist, Twitter celebrity, and YouTube presence Sean M Carroll, who when explaining the famous thought-experiment says there is a vial of fast-acting sleeping-gas, and when we look for the cat’s condition the choices are Asleep and Awake.
Sent in by Dan Sachs, who asks “Are these supposed to be KFC buckets?”; and by Targuman, who brings up that the brims and stripes raise issues for the buckets view.
Somewhat imperfect, okay, but I do like the idea of the Knicks setting up a patsy opponents team, or a practice team, known as the Knacks.
Jan’s dating adventure continues. This seems to use a pun on an unspoken characterization.
And it is rather cute to think about how the cymbals can be incorporated into a password. Probably no more annoying than when the form has no way of communicating the legal symbols it will accept to your secure-random-password generator.
Boise Ed recommends Doc Rat, and this Oy from the October 1 front page at Docrat.com.au was more available than others.
And indeed Brevity is generally going to yield up some species of OY, as here:
Because it’s funny to imagine a snowman being blind? I sure hope there’s more than that.
From Targuman.
