It’s not really about her is it?

To me this is an undecidable, but it’s not of the “What in the world?” type, but just which of a few basic alternatives. It could be the speaker is right, and the particular paintings in this gallery are setting the kid off. Or the kid is just tired and cranky, and being still walking around anywhere in the museum would set off the tantrum. In which case the speaker is probably just dense and mistaken (and we’re amused at him); or he is attempting a joke of his own.

This Far Side link for the snake crossing cartoon is not going to last very long.

Thanks to Kilby for sending this one, and saying “This is the best 4th-wall joke I’ve seen in quite a while:”

Paranoia strikes deep / Into your life it will creep

The great thing about this is that we understand a couple of important points about how those paintings were made.

We can’t let a Whack-a-Mole reference go by without linking to Cameron Esposito’s “Guacamole” bit! (In case the “start at” feature in the link doesn’t work, you might want to skip an intro and jump to about 1:40.)

This LOL-Meta from Argyle Sweater surprises me a little by taking it for granted that kids that age would tease (or try to insult) each other in the terms Sara used.

I just need to say I’m impressed how he selected and wrote out the twenty-five names.

And a thorough Ewww-LOL:

Here’s the same vet who treated the cute “I’m a little horse”.

A link-only reference to this Medusa Far Side:

That’s quite a surprise!

“Thought I was being ghosted.”

A slightly Ewww-flavored LOL:

This might take a moment as a Quickie-CIDU before resolving as a LOL:

Bliss has been running an excellent series with the dog and/or cat in anthropomorphized domestic settings. Here is a good example:

Who dun what?

Thanks to Alan Smithee for sending in this Mutts and asking “[Sunday’s] Mutts seems to be a ‘Whodunit’, but I can’t tell what the solution is supposed to be”. And I can’t even tell what the question was supposed to be!

No excuse beyond the canine link:

Has he seasoned it himself? And uses some of that expensive saffron for the dog? How nice! Oh, or maybe he sampled some, and the spice report is the result of his tasting? Or it’s advertised that way, and he’s looking to verify the claims?

Sunday Funnies – LOLs, February 13th, 2022

TBH, this was for me more a chuckle than a full LOL. But I was wondering if others also see an analogy between the point here and our thread about interpreting “The exception proves the rule” from early January.

For that matter, what sort of thing was a “buck” in that saying, by the time HST talked about it?

Thanks to Boise Ed for this Ewww-LOL!

Okay, okay, Reply All is an acquired taste I guess.

Is anyone ready to name a particular Raymond Chandler title being quoted? Or is Bliss just happily riffing on the voice?

Expanding horizons of Bliss?

The Bliss humans may be getting a bit more adventurous in their romantic possibilities, as RHP noted in regard to the first example below. They ask “Is this Harry Bliss comic really suggesting a kinky three-some?  It was in a family newspaper (The Boston Globe) on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. I notice that it is not showing up on the artist’s website or other comics websites, so I wonder if other editors recognized it as inappropriate.”

Then about a week later, we note the following.
