Pete sent this in. It’s also a bit of a CIDU, since wouldn’t knights in armor have metal plate on the bottom of their feet?

And here’s one sent in by Usual John, a bit more of a comic scene-rendering than a gag LOL:

In particular, local rules can cause problems. In the card game Hearts, does the jack of diamonds mean anything special? Can you dump on the first trick? In Monopoly, do you complain that the game takes too long, but put $500 on Free Parking, and allow houses to be turned in for full value? In poker, is the worst low hand A-2-3-4-6 or 2-3-4-5-7? Complain about your favorite example of local rules in the comments.

From the Ask-Me-Anything episode:

That’s another fine meta you’ve got us into!

For a comic strip not generally* done in “realistic style”, this shows a lot of detail to convincingly set the scene!

[*] Though they occasionally go hyper-realistic by using a photo panel!

Suggested by Dirk the Daring, who notes “Me thinks David Sipress has never left the city.  The cow and pig in the background aren’t too bad, but up front we seem to have a cow with pig nose and maybe a pig with a cow tail.  Or maybe not.

The gag itself is pretty good though.”

As a commenter at GoComics hints, that Mr. Wilson better not be Dennis Mitchell’s neighbor!

Yes, this was a Sunday strip.

Chemgal sends in this reminder that there might be a few syndromes not in DSM-5.

Thanks to John Reubens, who says “Thought this was clever. Made me LOL. 1880s version of unfriending? :) “

Ran into this Liz Climo on Facebook; it doesn’t seem to be on GoComics, nor on her own site.

This is the funniest comic I’ve ever seen that seems reminiscent of the quadratic formula, although it doesn’t get the coefficients and exponents quite right.

Somewhat slapdash Shakespeare but what the hey?

And here is the shocking exposé!

“The following contains scenes of people not accepting what they cannot change. Viewer discretion is advised.”
He thinks he’s so clever, but … !

This time the cartoon should for sure be taken on its own, and doesn’t need the Hax column.
