Cool! I prefer ‘Care of cell 44’ by the Zombies, or ‘I do, I do, I do’ by ABBA but this one is fun, too.
Yeah, this is a hard one with which to argue.
For me, a one-shot playlist would be “Kokomo” by The Beach Boys.
@Oliver Colin Blunstone is one of my favorite singers and Rod Argent one of my favorite piano players. I had no idea there would be a video of them playing this song live but, of course, there is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAvBAiR51c0
Most people think of a Swedish band when they hear “Abba” but I think of the pop song from the 1960s. Here is a great cover version by the German band, The Satelliters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GD07Mciurs&feature=youtu.be. Who said the ’60s are dead?
I would have thought that mentioning a song from 1974 in a comic strip published in 2020 would have been worth a “geezer” tag, but apparently not…
My own comfort playlists include a lot of 50s-60s Disney music, especially theme park stuff. “Miracles from Molecules” is downright perky, if you don’t dwell on it being about Monsanto.
