Okay, this is already borderline Geezer material: the likelihood that this kid will ever buy a newspaper as an adult is fairly remote.
My kids are already about twenty years older than this kid seems to be, and I doubt either one of them has read a pulp-and-ink newspaper in years.
And in case you can’t place the first line…
This is less a CIDU than a “What a weird thing for anybody to say,” but it reminded me of a theatre lyric: “I’m not a horse, I’m not a pony, so my problem is acute: I am too old for Hialeah and too young to shoot.”
(And yes, we know a pony isn’t really a young horse: give Jerry Herman a break!)
