Granted, all the preparation in the world wouldn’t eliminate lines on December 26; but again, not the point.

I personally think the friendlier thing for the Friends to have done was just discard or destroy the photos without saying anything: now, Arlo won’t be able to look anybody in the face at the next library fundraiser.

I can’t remember why, but this comic came up in discussion a while back and I couldn’t locate it at the time. So here it is.
Unless Death is included, of course.
Once or twice a year, somebody posts this on Facebook and it’s invariably followed by dozens of comments praising Carlin, the quote, or both.
What always amuses me is that nobody questions whether George Carlin ever actually said this.
