Okay, wait… this was supposed to be tomorrow’s CIDU, but I think I got it now: restoring the car will cost thousands of dollars plus several girlfriends will leave him in frustration when he neglects them in favor of his car?
But what makes it a CARBON footprint (and hence the joke)?
So… in the past they’ve only gone after whiffle balls and were successful?

Of course Stuart might just be using this as an excuse for payroll cuts that were going to happen anyway, but Marla doesn’t seem to be interpreting it that way and why would Stuart resort to weird excuses anyway?
I see this as part of the Questionable Economics trend begun a few days go by Tiffany in LuAnn.
Because “parrot” sounds kind of similar to “parent”? And they’re parrots?
