This CIDU is easier to figure out if you’re a cat owner. It provides an excuse to note that Comics Kingdom started Bob Mankoff Presents: Show Me the Funny (Animal Edition), which may be of interest. Since stepping down as cartoon editor at the New Yorker, he’s been running CartoonStock, which is a business that licenses cartoons.
There’s a lot of common cartoon elements here: time travel, cave art, smartphone, caveman, social anxiety and Twitter. But are there so many elements here that I can’t get the joke?
Some of you are parents. Others probably know parents. Most of you had parents. Is this something any parent had likely ever said, particularly given the skimpiness of the original outfit?
What saves this from an Arlo tag is that Amend’s women are recognizable as women, but not sexy. One can imagine what this would look like drawn by, say, Brooke McEldowney of 9 Chickweed Lane.
Dirk the Daring sends in this one noting that the corner panel doesn’t seem to have much to do with the rest of the cartoon.
Should I schedule this for next week, but mentally plan for one panel to show up then, with the rest of the comic to come at some unspecified “soon”?

Harry Bliss did not include a caption with this comic. As such, it’s a CIDU. But can we come up with a caption that would fit?
Andréa wonders how many still know this song, or is it just us geezers? I asked my daughters (in their 30s). One had heard of a slightly different version, the other had never heard it.
Neither of my two grandchildren (an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl) had heard of it. Feel free to report your own survey results!

I did figure this one out, but it took me a while. The problem for me is that the faces of the two at the table sent me in a different direction. The dialogue balloon being placed next to the person who isn’t speaking didn’t help.
No matter what type of creature is behind your success, the saying still has only one. Why would the line be long?
