    I think the comment was correct. “Driving test” for a deer is to see if they can survive a human driving test.

    ‘Deer in the headlights’ refers to a deer on the highway staring into the lights of an oncoming car. The deer is obviously not driving in that situation.

    But would also apply to a deer driving along and being confronted by the headlights of a car coming the other way. Or even headlights on his rear view mirror.

    I think part of the joke in Sam & Silo is that Silo is tricking Sam into buying a very expensive cookie, at 1998 prices. But today a cookie that only costs $1.25 is quite hard to find, especially at places like Panera.
