Oh, too bad the contest is over!
Note that the cartoonist, Pab Sungenis, actually has been exposed. Or rather, his husband was exposed and they don’t know yet whether he caught Covid-19. They’re techncally self-isolating rather than quarantined, but ….
Thanks, Carl, I was wondering about that. I was assuming he had actually been exposed, because otherwise the comic seems in pretty poor taste; but I wasn’t sure.
My embedded image maybe disappeared
Mitch4: IIRC, your comment also had a sentence or two in it that have also disappeared, and all the disappeared stuff potentially led into [verboten issues]. So perhaps Bill manually censored it?
Oh right, it amounted to a political commentary. sorry!
I didn’t think you personally were engaging in political commentary. But I could see Bill would worry that just having the comic here would lead to a political discussion.
No, thanks for reminding me. I had mostly forgotten what the cartoon and my fuller comment were when I saw and was puzzled by the somewhat opaque remainder of my comment; but reconstructed the memory with your help 🙂
I never saw the comic that Mitch4 attached here, but I think it might be the same editorial cartoon that I submitted earlier in the week in an e-mail to Bill. His reply indicated that he didn’t think it would be appropriate for CIDU, but that he might post it to his Facebook page. I don’t know whether he actually did that, because I’ve been self-isolating from Facebook for several years now (I’ve found that this is one of the best ways to keep my sanity sanitized).
