I’m pretty sure I asked the same rhetorical question the last time she made a similar complaint (though it’s possible this strip is a repeat and my mind is going).
Either way, if the state if her underwear is bothering her so much, there’s a startlingly simple solution…
Traditionally, Memorial Day was May 30. Starting in 1971, it became the last Monday in May. So in five years out of every seven, the span between Memorial Day and Labor Day was lengthened, and only shortened one year out of seven.
And let’s throw in a CIDU for the “bugs” comment.

Groundhog Day, while clearly the most famous of the “living the same day over and over and over again” genre, wasn’t the first. Does anybody know what the first one was?

Actually, I think Bill Murray might be perturbed at being referred to as a 20th Century actor: he’s still making films.
