Squirrel(s) have taken up residence in the attic of our condo building. Between the animal control fees, the carpentry repairs where they chewed through a dormer, and trimming the trees further away from the building, this will be an expensive endeavor. And, I have neighbors who scare away the red-tailed hawk who hangs around, so it won’t harm the squirrels. Seeing that squirrel in Whamond’s strip reminds me of a tagline of Bill’s: “GoDaddy and the Squirrel Must Both Die”.

Even in this very early Peanuts strip, Charlie Brown has found his signature style.
When you want to make sure nobody will send your comic in as a CIDU:

This is a combination Public Service Announcement and Christmas gift suggestion. My runner daughter started wearing a fiber-optic vest with chest light like Frazz is wearing a few years ago, and then got me one as a Christmas gift. They’re great for running, cycling, or walking at night. As a driver, I appreciate people who are lit up, so I can see them far ahead.

Either I mistyped, or the domain name has been surrendered.
Lost, please be explicit. What domain name? Is it something affecting CIDU?
Uncle Morty’s feet should definitely have been bitten off.
https://godaddyandthesquirrelmustbothdie.wordpress.com still conjures up CIDU.
I’ve forgotten, though. I remember Bill’s struggles with GoDaddy, but I don’t remember why he had such animosity toward Whamond’s squirrel. Or, like me with my current problem, animosities toward actual live squirrels complicating his life.
zbicyclist has it. I had forgotten that it was a subdomain of wordpress.
Because that @#$! squirrel tended to be rather annoying without adding value to the comic. Bill just couldn’t take it.
I don’t understand what it means to say that Charlie Brown had “found his signature style” in a strip where he doesn’t appear.
Perhaps it’s the origin story for Charlie Brown’s signature zigzag shirt?
I checked The Complete Peanuts, 1950-52 to see what I could find about Charlie Brown’s zigzag shirt. It first appeared in December 1950 (two months after the strip debuted), and by early 1951 it was his standard shirt.
However, in wintertime strips (and this strip was published Jan. 11, 1952), he was often seen wearing a jacket when he was outside, with the zigzag shirt not being seen.
So I assume that Lucy and Original Patty are talking about buying him some kind of winter clothing which he might indeed wear, albeit possibly over the zigzag shirt.
It was a rare Peanuts strip that had more than a minimal stage set. Usually the only furniture was Schroeder’s piano. This one even has pictures on the wall.

I don’t think so, as it’s the one LarK’s site uses.
