The Salvador Dali Museum is here in St. Pete; I wonder if they DO offer flex time. As first Hubby and I were Dali fans before he was well-known in the US, we traveled from WI to Shaker Heights, OH to see the collection (in someone’s living room, if you can believe it!) that later became the ‘official’ Salvador Dali Museum. Ironic, to me at least, that I now live so close to it, but haven’t/won’t visit it. Second Hubby and SIL did, and brought me some jewelry; that was enough for me. I had an original Dali, but donated it to our local dog rescue group; hope they got a good price for it.
Oreos now come in mint chocolate . . . was eating one when I read the joke.
I halfway wanted the Dali / flextime one to not show those melting watches in the background, and just count on the viewer to supply that knowledge. Then thought that was elitist in some fashion.

There’s a Sherlock Holmes parody (maybe by Stephen Leacock?) in which Watson is suprised to learn that Sherlock has been disguised as a short old woman. Sherlock explains most elements of how he applied the disguise, and when Watson finishes by asking “How did you become eight inches shorter?” mutters “Special shoes.”

Crediting in the blog is better than nothing but wouldn’t you think he’d be obligated to credit him physically in the strip itself and its unethical not to?

In the original, Holmes did once disguise himself as a man who was a foot shorter and it is remarked that Holmes found it comfortable to stand straight and break out of the role. It was implied it didn’t require anything except commitment and being a very, very good actor.
The baseball one required exactly my minimal level of knowledge of the sport – – so that I got it that “rounding third” meant he was going “all the way home”.

Anyway, I was just being brief in that note, but in fact Piraro goes on for a while and gives the guy good exposure. Look at the blog for a full sized image where that signature credit is clearer, and to read the full story.

Mark M, I think it pretty much has to be that.
Andrea, I don’t know about the museum in St. Pete’s, but the next time you (or anyone) is in northern Spain, you should definitely take a trip to Figueres, Dali’s birthplace and home to an incredible museum/theatre dedicated to his work. The outside of the building is just as weird as the inside and all of his paintings, being topped by giant eggs and covered in yellow cement loaves of bread, among other things.
It’s well worth the trip.
If I were able to go to Spain, I’d be able to go to the St. Pete museum; if I were in Spain, I’d also have to see all the Gaudi buildings. Dreams unfulfilled, and I can’t blame it on the pandemic, either. Well, at least my parents were able to go to all these places (also Florence, Pere LaChaise cemetery to visit Jim Morrison’s grave, and the Paris Catacombs).
After four days I finally got Fluffy Bunny Slippers’ joke … “knockeroff brand”
