Based on what I’ve seen this morning, by the way, October 15 is apparently the official start of this year’s Halloween Comic Strips Season.

As soon as I start really keeping track of the tons of Death comics, as I always say I’m going to do, they will inevitably stop.
Death Never Takes a Holiday
Seriously, what is it with comic strips featuring Death lately? It’s not just one or two strips: this seems to be a trend across the entire “comics page.”
Maybe all these artists are hitting Middle Age at the same time?
Some sense of foreboding in the air?
The artists have all joined a book club and they’re passing around Neil Gaiman graphic novels?

Death says “Relax”
Not singling out B.C. here, but… Is it my imagination, or have there been a lot of “Death says ‘Relax'” gags lately? I’m pretty sure we just had two near- identical “Relax, I’m just here for your houseplants” gags.
