… GoComics doesn’t pay anybody to look over old comics scheduled for rerunning to see whether they belong in 2019 newspapers (or even on the GoComics website). At least once a year, there’s a Mutt and Jeff that make us say “Oh, hell no…”
I’m not advocating censorship, or in any way making the old strips cease to exist. Put them in collections. Have a Mutt and Jeff archive site. But some strips really don’t belong in the general daily feed.
(And this is far from the most cringeworthy example)
Maybe it’s just me… but these celebrations of lying just rub me the wrong way: we didn’t lie to our kids.
Is this a regionalism, or did Jimmy intend to write “between” and somehow it came out “in”?
Is That is Priceless in newspapers at all? Maybe the three-week thing only applies to print comics, even if you’re working through GoComics or another syndicate?
By all logic, I think, in 2019 comic strip artists should have the option of being as timely as editorial cartoonists: it’s not as if they have to put the physical drawing in an envelope and mail it in.

Okay, I’ve been reading this for 51 years, but for the first time I’m totally lost: who’s the redheaded mom? Alex? Did I miss two other children somehow?
Honestly, it’s difficult to remain invested in a strip with 947 major characters that only updates once a week.
