Whatever it is he’s getting at, I’d have been nervous about sending this out into the world knowing it wouldn’t be published for three weeks and Queen Elizabeth is after all, 112 years old.

The Comics Fairy appears and tells you you can choose three comic strip characters to join you for the reminder of the isolation period. Whom would you choose to spend the next month (or more) with?
Keep in mind that they have to get along with one another as well: life is stressful enough without you having to keep breaking up fights.
It really shouldn’t change the core strip, since it’s almost entirely about Arlo, Janis and Luddie; but logically, Gene and Mary Lou’s farm stand must be circling the drain by now.
Even if this wasn’t Jimmy’s original plan, I wonder whether the kids are going to end up moving to the town where Arlo and Janis live.
I wouldn’t hate that.
