“Willing suspension of disbelief” has to work overtime here: talking fish; worm holding a smartphone; that smartphone showing a fisherman, which would seem to discourage the fish from biting. Fish knowing about AI. What difference would AI make? I can’t sort this out into a joke — help me out here.
Comics I Don't Understand 
I think the point is, the fish is saying “Don’t ear me, the fisherman will catch you” but the fish don’t believe him and are going to ear him anyway.

I think the worm is showing his cell phone, with a picture of the fisherman who put him on the hook, warning the fish – who wonder if the photo is a deep fake.
Of course this doesn’t work as a joke, being way too complicated. Why should the worm warn the fish? Why can’t they see the hook if they can see the phone & understand the warning?
