New Adventures of Queen Victoria is now irregularly updating, and the 3 after this one have also just been thought balloons in the dark. Per Wikipedia: “The strip ended on February 14, 2021; according to Sungenis, “15 years is long enough to do anything.” In January 2026 the comic returned to GoComics with new strips.”
There’s not much about new projects on Pab’s website. I dimly recall hearing he had some health issues.

@ Boise Ed (1) – No, these strips are brand new (©2026). Pab announced that he was going the restart Queen Vic in January, but his intended update schedule broke down in mid-February, and has been (at best) sporadic ever since. The current arc is the first time he has posted comics on four consecutive days since May. See The Daily Cartoonist for more information (search there for “Queen Victoria”).
On April 5th, Pab posted a long explanation about why he had not been able to provide regular updates, but there’s no way to tell whether that story was legitimate, or just over-the-top satire. I’m guessing the latter, because there is no way that a house in New Jersey could go without heat for four years without pipes bursting in the first winter, rather than the last.

Those are not caption bubbles. They’re speech bubbles. There’s no such thing as a caption bubble. Captions generally appear “bare” (just text under a panel) or in a box, but never a bubble. Tony Carillo is a professional cartoonist, I assume that he knows that, but I have no idea why he made his character ignorant of it.
