Some repeat comics from past Veterans Days, with a couple of additions. It’s a good day to remember.

These two we noticed on sequential days in Maria’s Day. Since that strip is on a reruns cycle at GoComics, the actual dates of the recent appearance were 31 August and 01 September, but apparently the original publication was on 10 and 11 November of some year.
Comics I Don't Understand 
I’m not familiar with Jeff and Brian, but I assume they are fellow Canucks. November 11 is called Remembrance Day in Canada, and is like Veterans’ Day and Memorial Day combined. US friends may not be aware that both World Wars were longer for Canada than for the USA, and more deadly in proprtion to population. We even had our own “Pearl Harbor” when about 2,000 Canadians were part of the garrison when Japan attacked Hong Kong on December 8, 1941. All 2,000 were killed, wounded, or captured.
