Background: Amazon, controlled by bald billionaire Jeff Bezos, now owns the Bond movie franchise.

This reminds me of this video from Dr. Glaucomflecken:
[Yes, he is actually a doctor licensed in the US, and has some serious YouTube videos related to his specialty (ophthalmology), but he has a bigger audience for his comedy.]

I’m not a dog person, but I admit to a certain weakness for miniature dachshunds. My parents had a couple. My sister has gone through a series. My daughter has a chiweiner (chihuahua and miniature dachshund mix). Very cute. Very friendly. (but very yappy)
Yesterday at The Fancy New Apartment, I had a package in the “Luxer” room. That’s an access-controlled repository. When the delivery people drop something there, the system sends you an email and/or text with a code.
As I was going in, there was a young woman coming out with a bunch of small packages and two dachshunds on a leash. Slight hilarity ensued, but no packages were dropped and no dogs escaped.
Note: In my final read-through, I had originally typed “dachshunds on a lease.” That made me laugh more than any of the comics.
Husband is one of the biggest Bond fans there is. The Bond books were what first drew him to be a reader. We not only have only all the books (despite not liking the more recent ones) he has read all of them and we have some duplicate books including early editions.
He is generally disappointed with the movies – more and more so with each of the new ones. But we do see all of them and have all on them to watch – the earlier ones we have on Beta, VHS, DVD and Blu Ray if they are available on the more recent formats. As time progresses in the age of the movies we have fewer alternatives (ie. some are VHS, DVD, Blue Ray as came out after Beta was gone, etc.). We also have parts of some the earlier movies on film (home movie size film/reels). For years when we lived in our apartment we had the poster from “For Your Eyes Only” – the one with girl’s legs as the main part of the picture – hanging over our bed! (Then we got a house and the poster moved to the basement “movie theater”.) Mostly of the posters, lobby cards, etc are stored (as are those from movies other than Bond).
We have not seen the most recent movie as we no longer go out to the movies since Covid plus the increased price for movie tickets, so he has to wait until it comes out on DVD or similar to see it.
