I think that’s a pussy hat. I made one and wore it for the inauguration in 2021 and I’m wearing it again in January 2025 for the same reason and the same guy.

I hate to go into politics but we got the cartoon we got: I think Thompson is saying that during the last Trump administration, people (mostly women) wore these as a sign of protest and solidarity. Then they shoved them into their box of winter clothes, forgotten, and haven’t pulled them back out.
