@Powers, it seems Editor Phil really rose to the challenge following some backroom discussion about “Let’s try not to use that roughest form of the word undisguised”!
As understand it, the ink released by cephalopods as an escape mechanism is distinct from, ahem, biological waste. In fact, it seems to have culinary uses.

No matter how hard I try, I can’t make “brushiest” anagram into “undisguised.”
