I don’t think two “excited to be going back to work” comics really qualifies as synchronicity, but it was interesting that Mr. Baldwin and Ms. Piccolo both decided that this was the day.

Masked mannequins and bare-faced customer?
A person who doesn’t yet have any masks has to buy them from somewhere…
Didn’t we learn from Satchel that it’s 1954 in the comics?
It’s all about the masks – the fashion statement of 2020, although the customer doesn’t seem to have gotten the message.
I’d think the Cornered is about going back to work at last, except the cop isn’t wearing a mask, so it must be in some other universe. One where cops stand in the middle of the highway when giving out a ticket – I want to shout at him “get out of the road!”
I tend to think the Cornered isn’t pandemic related. The guy’s just being sarcastic.
