So…

A reference to this…

… except the joke is that Rodney’s more attracted to a woman who looks like himself in drag?
Thursday Afternoon LOL

Speaking of which… when we want to talk with the kids, or they with us, we’ll generally first send a text message “Good time for a call?” I don’t think we could have predicted 15 years ago that this would be the new normal, but it just makes sense: we might be busy, they might be busy, we might be eating dinner, they might be eating dinner, we might be out, they might be out, we might be cooking strawberry jam…
I know we’re not the only ones.
Hug or… Spit?

Honestly, I can relate to the first couple of panels: at my recent high school reunion, I really didn’t know what do with the women.
Hell, I didn’t know what to do 45 years ago, why would I know any better now?
Anyway, the last two panels were a total mystery.
Pressure

Apparently…

… GoComics doesn’t pay anybody to look over old comics scheduled for rerunning to see whether they belong in 2019 newspapers (or even on the GoComics website). At least once a year, there’s a Mutt and Jeff that make us say “Oh, hell no…”
I’m not advocating censorship, or in any way making the old strips cease to exist. Put them in collections. Have a Mutt and Jeff archive site. But some strips really don’t belong in the general daily feed.
(And this is far from the most cringeworthy example)
Lies

Maybe it’s just me… but these celebrations of lying just rub me the wrong way: we didn’t lie to our kids.
In

Is this a regionalism, or did Jimmy intend to write “between” and somehow it came out “in”?
