Okay, I’m not going to change the DeathMark rules again under any circumstances, but… Seems to me there’ve been a lot of Magic 8-Ball comics lately.
(For no apparent reason)
Do You Want to Build a Snowman?
Okay, to be fair… if they need to read “First we roll a big snowman,” that’s on Len: this is the sort of thing you learn from your father.
Yes, it could also be your mother or your aunt or your grandfather, but traditionally it’s a dad thing.
DeathMatch! Update
Two more Deaths: one from Arseetoo…

and one from DanV…

Plus a Clown Car comic (finally!) from Becky, which is also a CIDU; I’m familiar with Mr. Martin’s “Another way to tell…” trope, but I’m not following the logic of this one.

EDIT: And a few hours later another Clown Car, from jajizi:

Which brings us to Death 7, Russian Clown Gesundheit 2.
(With non-competing Pinocchio still at 3)
The Halter
And today’s Arlo Award goes to…
I should probably mention…
If, when I’m looking through the comments, I spot an obvious typo, I will often fix it.
First, because as an editor it would drive me crazy not to.
Second, because as you know I’m a very careless typist (as many editors are), and it doesn’t seem fair that I can correct by own errors while other people can’t.
Saturday Evening LOYL. But…

Andréa submitted this as both an LOL and an Oy. And while I don’t disagree, I also think it’s a great idea. Not only do I think it’s a great idea, but a few years ago when my computer-whiz nephew needed to create a public service project, I suggested he teach older folk how to be computer-savvy. “Think about how we all have to help Grandma.”
Honestly, I don’t know whether he ever chose this project — he’s out in California, so I’m not really in the loop — but I bet Mr. Hilburn’s inspired name would have made a difference.

[OT] At a bear minimum…
Is it too much to expect that if a reporter for a major American newspaper doesn’t know the difference between “bearing responsibility” and “baring responsibility,” his editor will catch the error?
Or at the very least, that the online version would be corrected within the first 24 hours?
