Bob Ball says this one “appears to lack gravitas”.

Mouseover text: “It does come at the cost of some launchpad expansions and increased fuel requirements, but all that comes out of the facilities budget.”

Mitch4 sends this in: “Well, they don’t even try to handle the “intolerance” part, but even so it was a pretty clever pun.”

Mitch4 sends this in: “Because of whose picture is on which denomination.”
B.C. sometimes has Christian themes, and this one is NOT non-denominational, but we’re posting it anyway.
And while we’re on the subject of George Washington:

If you wager in coins, Washington has a 25 to 1 advantage, and Lincoln won’t even be able to come to the table next year.

Actually, “cases of lactose intolerance” can refer to acts of bigotry or illegal discrimination against the incompletely footed.

The Washington/Lincoln one had some interesting ideas in the comments.

Argyle Sweater reminds me that back in the 90s (I think it was), the zoo in Seattle got a pair of wildebeests that they named Weather and Sports. The ads on buses read “Come see our gnus Weather and Sports.”

Washington v. Lincoln in a physical fight would be interesting. They were both very tall (for their time), strong frontiersmen. (Washington surveyed the Ohio Territory.)
I’d actually bet on Lincoln, who was a champion wrestler as a young man.

Evan Dorkin had a comic, “Milk and Cheese — Dairy Products Gone BAD.”
My parody would be, “Curds and Whey, the Lactose Intolerants.”

I will point out that the “Christian themes” were a Johnny Hart feature. Mason Mastroianni, the grandson of Hart and current cartoonist, only does a few holiday strips as a tribute.

George Washington made me think of this old story:
It’s the day after Halloween, and the outhouse has been knocked onto its side, as a prank. The father took he son aside and said “Who tipped over the outhouse?”
Son said, “I don’t know anything about it.”
So the father told the whole story of George Washington and the cherry tree, and how George’s father didn’t punish him because he was so brave and honest.
The son said, “Father, I cannot tell a lie. My gang and I tipped over the outhouse.”
So the father took a switch, laid the son across his lap and began whipping him severely.
Wailing in pain, the son said, “But George Washington’s father didn’t punish him after he told the truth.”
Father said, “George Washington’s father wasn’t IN the cherry tree when it was chopped down!”

@Carl Fink: Both Abraham Lincoln and George Washington were named to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, in the “Outstanding American” category, in the same year. According to the NWHOF: “The surviving evidence supports George Washington as a powerful, competitive athlete who most likely wrestled within the Crawford and Stephenson social circle during his Frederick County surveying years, approximately 1749–1752.”

I have no gnus to bring other than that I was reminded of the Confuse a Cat Monty Python sketch mentioning the phrase “Bewilderbeast”
