   Congrats to him. I wish he was still doing Heart of the City. Nothing against Steenz! — it’s still a good strip — but I miss his interpretation of the characters.

   I’ve always liked Lio, congrats to Mr. Tatulli. I especially like one (not featured here) where Lio’s ant farm got loose on the comics page.

   Good for Tatulli. Lio can be a little hit or miss for me, but you can tell he’s putting in the effort and not just phoning it in.

   P.S. I forgot to mention the date of that comic: April 15th, 2007. Technically only GoComics subscribers are allowed to see comics older than four weeks ago, but luckily it is still possible to dig out the image URL from the page source.

   Unfortunately, the old trick of adding an image extension to the file to make it embedded no longer works, at least in my trials.

   @ Brian (8) – It cannot work, because the new way that the GoComics archives are designed means that the URL works only withOUT the extension. This is why most of the images in older CIDU comments are now “broken”. You can right-click on the icon to open the URL in a new tab, but the image will not appear until you remove the file extension.
