    The street sweeper seems to have swept up one of his own wheels, though you would have thought this was a bad design issue that would have become clear during the initial testing programme.

    Leaning towards the self-destruction angle since there’s no sign of the destruction involved with climbing over a parked car.

    Or yet again, it’s the kind of street where a car might lose a wheel (to pothole or merely bumps), and the sweeper has encountered one such wheel.

    My first impression was what Mitch said, a random tire in the street being hurled through a window. On reflection, I think it’s supposed to be his own tire. The sweeper ought to have a visible rear tire, and the motion lines seem to start from the undercarriage.

    I would tend to agree with Andrew, but maybe he’s attributing too much actual reasoning to the cartoonist.

    I have no idea what is happening, but the sweeper part is on the wrong side. I guess it could be somewhere in the UK, but I think the artist is from the US.
