The collective nouns left me cold, but I got good chuckles out of the peephole and dreadlocked jury.

As for the first one: just last week, our band played a song called “Quack Quack March,” inspired by an incident when the composer was conducting a serious tune outdoors and the audience started laughing. Eventually, she turned around and saw what they were laughing at: a duck, waddling around behind the podium and stealing the show.

Yeah, Ed, those two were pretty good. I agree it’s hard to get excited about collective nouns. That’s been done so many times in so many contexts that it would take something remarkable to make it interesting.

I had to go back to it to get it, but upon reflection “a performance of Hair” is pretty good.

The collective nouns were a sensible chuckle until a “suspicion of tissues.” That one was a snort.
