Ok, I didn’t get the vultures, went away, came back, still don’t.

Lola, usually “these parts” is about location, but here I think it means body parts.

I usually like Lard’s World, but that one gave me shudders. I used to work a children’s ER, so maybe I’m just having flashbacks. In any case, free speech: love it or hate it, it’s Right.

Mitch4. Of course! I saw the bones and the deer leg but never thought body parts. Duh! I’m blaming John Mulaney’s New in Town that I saw a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you, zbicyclist (5). I hadn’t noticed that detail.

And I had a good laugh at the pullet surprise. What comic is that?

Boise Ed: Pullet surprise is from Farley (1975-2007) by Phil Frank. First it was syndicated then only in SF Chronicle with local humor. I first noticed him where he started–in my college newspaper at Mich. State. Blast from the past to remember him and his strips.

How my brain works department: in the conchierge strip, my brain focused on the question of why the mermaid needs wheels on a suitcase that floats along behind her.
