Anyone else make pretty much the same resolutions every year?

For the “bit of a cidu” one, my interpretation is that the sheep that is speaking wants to copy the other sheep’s resolutions. “Following along” as sheep are prone to do.
The speaker is asking the sheep near the rear with resolutions written on the tag on its fleece.
2026: the rest is yet to come!
Best wishes to all of us in 2026 (and beyond).
Making us wonder what sheep would possibly do differently…
The joke’s on us.
Happy New Year, everyone.
Not sure I get the sheep one, either. Sheep have plenty of bad habits that usually end in them getting stuck on or in something and requiring help. If sheep could make resolutions, I’d urge them to stop checking out big scary holes or noodling around in thick underbrush.
Unless they’re metaphorical sheep and the author is just complaining that everyone does the same thing at the New Year, but I don’t think that’s it.
I overlooked Phillip’s comment until the page reloaded with my own. Yeah, I like that explanation.
