That one’s the start of the series. As I post this, I don’t know whether it continues further (or whether Brett has used this in past years).

This setup with the fall leaves was a staple of Funky Winkerbean in the 70s and 80s, and I’m sure it doesn’t originate there. Tom Batiuk did usually redraw each panel in those Funky strips, though.

Brett Koth was a protege of Jim Davis and it’s amazing how similar the art looks even today.

Powers (5): Mr. Google tells me “Brett Koth is known for </>The Garfield Movie (2024).” I find it hard to believe that’s the same artist as does Diamond Lil.
