It’s an odd choice to have that cartoon appear on December 25, Christmas Day.
Comics I Don't Understand 
Speaking of Get Kraken, over in Freefall, Sam Starfall is discovering that a space station’s flavored mycoprotein vendor offers a selection of fantasy creatures on their menu, one of which is called “Get Kraken” — and it tastes just like he does!
I’m calling for a ten-year moratorium on “kraken” jokes. Between the “kraken” challenge to the 2020 elections and the formation of the Seattle Krakens, every possible joke has been made ad nauseum. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen “best get kraken” in the past five years.
I mean, stores already had Valentine’s Day stuff out before Christmas, so why not a cupid joke on Christmas?
re Frazz: the first pun is not subtle, it is tortured beyond the Geneva Conventions!
(It might help to have a German accent to pronounce “thing” as “sing”, but then if you have the German accent you would never pronounce “Bach” as “bock”…)
larK – It’s a shame that no one every wrote lyrics to the Brandenburg Concertos. Otherwise we would have Bach Sing Day carols (and a less tortured pun).

@Chak: There WERE fun and interesting ways to waste time. AI is rapidly replacing them with boring and uninteresting ways.
I don’t use CK much, and I’m just taking advantage of free use, but I don’t like it much at all. Their round of improvements were not at all to me.
I generally don’t have too much problem with GC, although as a Premium user it’s difficult to compare. I do see complaints from people about the ad system.
