If this is a CIDU for you, like Nebuchadnezzar [corrected: this was Belshazzar] you need to consider the writing on the wall. Related
Annoying Pundit Alert: It was Nebuchadnezzar’s son, Belshazzar, who saw the writing on the wall. And “memento mori” is damned esoteric for a comic strip. LikeLiked by 1 person

That article says ‘The actual words are transliterated as “Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin” ‘, so I guess this would be funny to someone who knew that. Meanwhile, I did get a good laugh from the chicken lacrossing the road. LikeLiked by 1 person
I took it as sort of implicit dialog: You think doing laundry is fun? Hogwash! But then it may be a problem that it is also doing a literalization pun on a hog washing… LikeLike
An inventive take on the “Chicken crossing the road” trope. The art style of the “Hogwash” comic just hurts my eyes. LikeLike
“And “memento mori” is damned esoteric for a comic strip.”. Maybe a little too esoteric for Bizarro if the thinks “memento” has something to do with remembering things or people past. LikeLike
