    Something about padding the neck so it can get through that (relatively) low cargo door without damaging itself?

    Similar to the logistics that pole vaulters endure (to get their poles transported in one piece). There are lots of anecdotes about baggage handlers using a saw to shorten (or halve) the poles, but I was not able to find a first-hand account.

    Random fact for you. Giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans. 7. Part of me thinks the general population around here already knew that given the seemingly higher intelligence level, but thought I’d share anyway.
