OK, not touching the cultural/political aspects of that comment, Ed, but: how does that clarify? Still CIDU for me!

I don’t know what he’s on about either, but if the teacher let a kid hold on to his phone during a test, she should be fired.

It seems to be one of those comics where the cartoonist has an idea, based on his own tastes, and he throws it into his cartoon–but he’s the only person who understands the context and the meaning. I don’t know anything about Eminem or his music, and it sure looks like this comic is intended for an audience super familiar with his work. I have to say, though, like Eminem, I don’t care anything for Frazz and find the comic Eminently (ha) avoidable.

Though I also have no real acquaintance with Eminem’s life or work (apart from having long ago satisfied my curiosity as to whether his performing name was chosen as an allusion to M-and-M candies), I thought there must be some song of his that ends with a perpetual-motion ostinato and a fade-out, rather than a definite ending — to fit the description and idea that it would leave you holding forever…. I must have inquired too broadly, as Google first told me, Yes, you probably mean xxx or yyy, and gave me links to performances — neither of which I could match to the description.

Boise Ed has it, people who don’t like rap say it’s not music.
eminem doesn’t ever sing, he just spits rhymes monotone
