Meanwhile, there a bit more comedy left over from Thanksgiving.
Boise Ed sends this in: “Another good reason to get a smaller turkey next time.”

First of all, isn’t it “vortices”?
Second of all, my understanding is that there are just two polar vortices (North and South); they don’t form and dissolve the way storms do.
I’ve only seen vortexes – yeah, pluralization of Latin words in English is kinda random.
Vertex only goes to vertices, but vortex swings both ways.
Doesn’t the Weather Channel name random storms?
NO cats in our Christmas trees.
In the past we had a large tree (all artificial ones) in our living room, a small one in our craft studio, a small one in my teddy bear village, a medium one in our dining room and a beaded one (I made) in our dining room.
We had as the living room tree a large one which had 8 heavy pie shaped sections for the bottom part of the tree, a small tree shaped section for the top, a pipe and stand. It involved 9-10 trips to and from the basement to bring all this up (and then take it down at the end ) – exhausted every trip. I had an idea to get two smaller trees instead. He liked the idea and expanded on it. We now have one tree a shorter and narrower around than the prior one and one which is a bit smaller in both measurements to the first new tree. He then decided to get a small one also – but too late this year so used small tree for the studio for this instead (this year). So we now have a Christmas tree “forest”. Looks nicer and much fewer trips up and down the stairs.
The cat in the tree one should have said felines instead of cats
