The “Great Replacement Theory” is a racist belief that there is a cabal of elites promoting the gradual replacement of white people in traditionally “white” nations with people of Arabic (in Europe) or Hispanic (in the U.S.) descent via unchecked immigration and disparate birth rates.
(The racist part is that this demographic shift is seen as inherently problematic because of which ethnicities are increasing in population.)
So Bob’s theory is “not-so-Great” and about “un-Replacement”. But it seems to have nothing to do with the Great Replacement Theory except its name.
I think beckoningchasm has it. If they keep out of sight and if no one explains how well AI could do their jobs, they should be ok. That will prevent them from being replaced.

Sorry for the weird post. Something crashed in my computer and we have just spent an hour getting it to work again and I had to just enter something as a comment to see it if it was working. Hopefully this resolves the problem. (Windows shut down, would not work right again at all, and we had to reload everything to get it back up and working.)
