I don’t think I understand the goldfish one. Did someone die in a car crash or similar, and they had a goldfish with them? And does the stone on the right with what appears to be a nametag or postit with “it” on it have anything to do with the gag?

Darren: I’m with ya: there’s a toilet, which is where we traditionally “bury” dead goldfish, but…what’s the connection? Did someone die while flushing a goldfish??

Somebody wanted the deceased to “sleep with the fishes” … or at least “sleep” with at least one fish…? Is the dude in the hat supposed to invoke a connection to stereotypical mafia?

I’m sure the joke had nothing to do with Commandant Eric Lassard from Police Academy, but he carried a goldfish around in the movies and cartoon series.

Comics Kingdom paid members get a week or so early look. Possibly that’s the situation here.

The preview can be a problem with Dick Tracy, as it runs on both CK and GoComics. Some people can’t resist hints or outright spoilers in comments. However, the much-maligned new comment system allows muting other users.

Husband and I tend to take in Chinese food from a very nice small, friendly, local place on Saturday nights since the start of Covid (before that we took out from them often also) instead of going out for Saturday night dinner.

We have had several times over the last couple of months received fortune cookies (technically fortune cakes) with no fortune in them.

(We do not eat the cookies with dinner as we have each had more than enough carbohydrates with the meal, so we keep them until another night when we feel that we need or want a little snack. There is a plastic box with them in the kitchen closet/shelves.)
