I do not think it is a matter of his not liking Queen. I think he is not enjoying HER singing Bohemian Rhapsody and would prefer to listen to a professional musician.

Nothing to do with Queen, it’s playing into the meaning of “bohemian” as an artsy person who just hangs around coffee shops playing bongos or whatever. Kinda a “Hey, Geezers!” reference.

I took it in an entirely different direction. I thought she was singing, and he’d rather hear someone professional. Not many people can sing BR well.

Mark H. – That’s my interpretation too. She was singing while doing household chores, as a lot of people do, and this is his way of saying, “Can it.”

Note the tense: “makes music”. Does someone for some reason think that Freddy Mercury is still alive and doing something for a living?

I think Dvandom has it. It’s a play on the definition of “bohemian.” Why would he want to hear a rhapsody performed by someone who’s just messing around and not making a living at it?

I agree with M. Clay and others. It’s a request for her to not sing.

It’s a CIDU though, as we have a divergence of opinion here.

I don’t know how “Bohemian Rhapsody” could make ironing more interesting.

Mama, I’ve killed a man, held an iron to his head, plugged the cord in, now he’s dead.
