CIDU QUEUE REMINDER
As always — but it needs saying explicitly again now and then — we like to think of this as a reader-participation site, and not just for your invaluable (or anyhow amusing) comments, but for suggestions of comics to run and discuss.
Please share your specific suggestions of panels or strips, in CIDU, LOL, and OY categories, either by direct email to

(that’s “CIDU dot Submissions” at gmail dot com) or by using the handy-dandy Suggest A CIDU form page!

Yeah, if this were offered straight, we’d be saying something about expressionism, or naturalism.

This whole post is a mystery to me. Is this AI generated, with the prompt “show me weird art about mothers”?
In fact, Weird Mom Art, by Rachel Deutsch, is quite a bit more normal. These Comics Perfectly Capture The Weirdness And Wonder Of Motherhood | HuffPost Life

Yes, Frog Applause can be mysterious. It somehow continues to exist as an outpost of surreal collage on GoComics!

For what it’s worth, the strip has over 31k followers. That’s a pretty good base.

If you don’t get “lost reading glasses,” you’re just not old enough to understand this comic. And “It makes sense in Boise” is just de facto hilarious (I’m not in Boise, ergo). What’s not to love about the existential angst of a pastry chef? And as for the last one, I’m pretty sure I’ve accidentally sent that text before. I’ll take a level quarter cup of Frog Applause any day. 🐸

That would barely be a start.

I thought the first one had to do with the black widow and the mantis both eating their mates, but the “my son” seems to put a halt to that.
