Jack Applin sent this in, with multiple comments;
• A cat is lecturing to people.
• The cat is using a laser pointer, but isn’t chasing the dot.
• “EKEKEKEK”? Not “EEK”.
• The mice have motion vectors; the leftmost is spinning.
• The bottom mouse is dead (x for eye).
• I thought the mice were in/above water, but that is text,
as seen in the bullet points to the right.
• Despite all this data, I have no idea what’s going on.

We are encouraging catty remarks in the comments.
I assume the “EKEKEKEK” is meant to represent the noise cats make when they see something they want to chase, but can’t get at. Usually it’s when they see a bird on the other side of a window. This looks a little like a college classroom, but beyond that I haven’t got a clue.

i think the ekekekek is supposed to be what is sometimes called “murder noises”, the low, almost inaudible chattering some cats do while very intent on prey.

Yes, this lecturer may be presenting valuable advice and expertise for fellow mouse-hunters, but probably less compelling for this audience.

Well, it’s a fine homage to this site’s founder that we are all now completely perplexed by a cat cartoon.

DemetriosX and crakntoast have it, I believe. Cat chattering that occurs when cats are excitedly stalking prey.
In this case, the cat is probably doubly excited by both the mouse on the screen and the laser pointer dot.

That sound seemed to me to be what my cats do when they have a hairball. I couldn’t figure out why he would be teaching how to recognize a hairball.

There is a subreddit, although the list of things that don’t have one is fairly short:

My wife, a feline vet, calls it a “hunting meow.” It’s often accompanied by very soft high-pitched squeaks. Our cats do it when they stalk a bird at the window. https://www.instagram.com/ekekekkekkek?igsh=Y3pvanl5aXJxaDQx
