Pretty good maze, too. I can usually solve those in a few seconds, but this one took me more than half a minute.
I agree with Mark H @1: the maze is not only very good, it is also rendered in a perspective that matches the surrounding floor elements pretty well. In labeling the strip a “Fun Page”, Trap committed himself to drawing a maze that was at least solvable, but making it into one that was as tricky as this one shows his dedication to the craft. I really think this makes the (effectively single-panel) gag work much better than if the barrier were just a random collection of drippy lines.
P.S. It was this sort of artistic “completeness” that I thought was sadly lacking in Ham’s series of “chess” comics, in particular with the “Checkmate” panel that appeared on Friday the 13th.
I tried doing this but a damned white rat kept beating me. Algie is a dirty rat.
