End of the Line

This was, not surprisingly,  always intended to be the final Morning Wake-Up song — in fact, as I write this and place in the queue, I’m not even sure when it’s going to be posted. My guess would be the second half of June.

Hopefully, we won’t have to start this up again later in the year. Keep safe, friends.

  1. The wake-up song was a really nice thing and I really enjoyed it. Quite a few of those got added to my regular playlists. Thanks Bill Bickle, and thanks everyone else who recommended songs.

  2. R.I.P. Lefty, Nelson, and Charlie. I have all three of the Traveling Wilburys’ albums. Volume 2 was the hardest to find.

  3. @ S.B. – I was aware of the deaths of Orbison (“Lefty”) and Harrison (“Nelson”), but I didn’t know that Petty (“Charlie” a.k.a. “Muddy”) had died. As for your acquisition of “Volume 2”: is your middle name “Oscar”, or did you actually find a copy of the alleged “bootleg”? (As has been cited as the reason that Harrison intentionally mis-numbered the band’s second official release.)

  4. Kilby, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings.

My reference to Volume 2 is to give fans something to do. Leave them running down a dream. There may well be something to the rumour. 😉

I’d also read that there is some discussion that Petty’s Full Moon Fever is considered an unofficial Volume 2 as it features contributions from all the Wilburys except Lucky/Boo. Like all good legends, there are multiple contradictory versions.

  5. @ S.B. – Actually, I never really liked the “Heartbreakers”, but I have to admit that Petty (and Harrison) were (by far) the most affable performers of the “Wilburys”. As for your “dream”, there’s no way that we’ll ever find out (from George) exactly why he skipped the number “2”, but I dislike the idea of sending people on a wild goose chase.
