Two-edged sword, Mike. The Kinks fanbase are now the old folks. I’m stuck with mixed feelings about being the old guy rocking out to the background music while grocery shopping. I’ve decided not to let it bother me and just enjoy the music of my youth as I pick up my vittles.
I gave CIDU Bill three different versions for this song but suggested this one because these guys are having so much fun and put this video together while practising social distancing. I sent him the original Kinks’ version and the cover by “Fountains of Wayne” on Conan.
