Good Day, Sunshine
I was hoping people would submit “sunny day” music, especially appropriate for what for many people will be a lost Memorial Day weekend.
Shrug came through with this one:
(Of course all this being said, we mustn’t forget what Memorial Day is really all about: the men and women who never made it back to enjoy May weekends at the beach)
Bonus CIDU, because there was only one Oy this week

I assume it’s not related to this one, from four days later:

Butt

Because dachshunds have large butts? Which they don’t. And tweets? That takes some talent.
Maybe something to do with the fact that dogs smell one another’s butts?
This has me so confused, it might as well be about cats.
Mon Dieu, this is even more horrible in French!

Remember, we’re not looking for music that reminds us of viruses and quarantines, but rather music that reminds us of nightmarish dancing ducks and gives us earworms that’ll last us through the work (-at home) day.
[OT] Asking for a different kind of song recommendation
My sister-in-law, who lives on the other coast, has got it into her head that next time we’re all together, she and I have to sing karaoke together. Now keep in mind that I’m old — and will probably be considerably older by the time we see one another — and I haven’t sung in public since I was 12. Not even “Happy Birthday.” I’m not quite tone deaf enough to not know how bad I am.
Apparently she’s at least as bad.
I don’t know how drunk she expects both of us to be — which would be a feat in any case, since neither of us drinks.
But she’s fixated on this, and wants me to pick the song, so what duet should I choose?
CIDU Drill

Hopefully this isn’t as ominous as it sounds…
WordPress tells us that “new and exciting changes” are coming to the user’s dashboard on June 1.
There’s no indication what this means.
Worst case scenario: Comicgeddon 2.0.
Best case scenario: a dashboard that already imposes more limits than it did two years ago will become even more difficult to use.
And yes, it is possible they’re rolling out improvements that will enhance everybody’s lives — but how often is that what “new and exciting changes” really means?
And let’s be honest, this is 2020.
