I get the impression this cartoonist just doodles stuff he is amused by. We can’t fault him for being amused by drawing doodles of |blank|stic cats. eg. futuristic cat, anapestic cat.
We can argue, and even get angry, that there is no reason *we* should be amused by his doodles. But…. that’s all there is. He was amused about different types of |blank|stic cats. ….. and we aren’t.

I think “domestic” vs. “dogmatic” might have worked better.
Since cats think of themselves as gods, if one were agnostic it wouldn’t know if it existed or not? That’s all I got……
