Normally dogs do not “mark” within their own quarters. They don’t want to live with the smell any more than their owners do. The only risk would be if the tree had already been marked by another dog (or other animal) before it was brought into the house.

I feel for them. There just aren’t enough public toilets out there. Frankly, it’s easier for a dog than a man.

Based on Facebook photos and videos, I’d say dogs are less of a danger to Christmas trees than cats.
