Is that game still being produced? If you’ve ever seen the ad, you’ll remember it (“HA – HA – HA!”)
Target near me has it in stock.
The game piece is missing- the plastic bread basket. The doctor is looking for it at other places you could find for a missing game piece.
Pretty sure Operation is still very popular today. McDonald’s does Operation Happy Meal promos. There are cross-promotional boards for properties like Shrek and Dr. Who.
Interestingly, on the Target website Operation is $19.99. On Amazon it’s listed at $49.99.
Why the difference? No Body knows.

Same reason the same packages from same manufacturers of food and other items are different prices in different stores/online sites. Each seller prices the item on their own.
(Manufacturers can have an intended/suggested price, such as might be printed on a package or advertised by them, but they cannot hold sellers to that price in the USA.)
